Since 1976, Dartmouth College and the Montshire Museum of Science have worked together in their shared commitment to enhance the quality of science education in Vermont and New Hampshire. Dartmouth's faculty and scientists are continuously engaged in the development of significant research programs across various disciplines. The Montshire offers valuable expertise and experience in science education for K-12 teachers and students, families, and adults, with a special emphasis on the challenges of providing education in rural communities. In 2002, the Dartmouth-Montshire Institute for Science Education was established to strengthen this partnership, integrating the resources of two leading institutions to better serve the educational needs of the bi-state region.
